Muzi is a local Zihuatanejo dog that was being fed by the local fisherman. Surfers for Strays took her in when a volunteer found her and her 10 pups under a bridge. She has had all of her vaccinations and is soon going to be spayed. Then she will be more than ready to start her new life!
She is a medium sized lab mix with bright and soulful eyes. She is one of the most lovable and loyal companions you could ever meet. She is good with all dogs, kids and even cats! Can you imagine making Muzi a part of your family?

Solita is a 5-year-old Shephard mix from Los Llanos. She has a spinal injury that left her partially paralyzed. She has a strong will and is a fighter. She needs help because the family who has her has difficulty caring for all of her medical needs. With a properly fitted wheelchair and a clean environment, she can live a long and healthy life. This is an urgent case because of the wounds on her hind legs that need to heal. Can you help Solita? She needs a foster home that can help her heal in a clean environment, and is able to help her use her wheelchair. Or she needs an adopter that understands the needs of a handicapped dog.
She has been adopted by the wonderful family that was fostering her in the San Diego area. She has 3 human siblings, 2 brothers and 1 sister, that love her and take pride in training her. She is getting lots of attention and exercise and she is one happy puppy! Thank you to all the volunteers and supporters of Surfer For Strays that made it possible for Frida to make this journey and find her forever family.
You may think this is a cute photo but how we found this puppy and the condition she was in was not mucho aloha. She was kept in a tiny crate in the dirt covered with a big piece of wood all night by herself for 12 hrs. without food or water. She was full of worms, and covered with fleas and ticks.
Lucky for her Surfers For Strays was notified by some caring people who heard her crying in the mango fields. Who knows what would have been her fate if she was not rescued. For such a young pup she has already endured so much.
Frida is now safe and in a temporary foster home in San Diego. She is on her way to a lovely life now but she needs to find her forever family or another foster home ASAP. Her foster mom says she is a smart puppy and very good girl. We would love for her to be in a home with another young dog to play with and show her how much fun life can be. If you can foster Frida or better yet want to adopt her, please contact us ASAP. Mucho Aloha!
